Share Certificates are similar to certificates of deposits (CDs).
Your deposit is held for a specific amount of time, and usually pays higher dividends than savings. If you withdraw funds from the certificate before it has matured, penalties may be charged. Additional funds cannot be added to a share certificate once it has been opened.
The credit union offers share certificate terms from 6 months to 60 months.
